Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

PlanToys® practices the “Three R’s” of green living: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle and their manufacturing processes are designed to reduce waste and save energy.

We love that the Plan Toys® do not not outgass like many other wooden toys do. We love the craftsmanship, creativity and vibrant colors.  Also, we like that they’re wooden like in the good old days, but yet have a modern feel thanks to their sleek designs.

Plan Toys® Safety Standards

All PlanToys® meet the CE EN71 and ASTM F963 safety standards.  Also Plan Toys® tests their paints for safety almost every two weeks, to ensure their safety.

Plan Toys® toys are manufactured in the southern region of Thailand in the city of Trang. The area is rich with rubberwood which they have successfully recycled for manufacturing toys. Plan Toys® toys are produced entirely within their own facility, thus giving control over every aspect of the manufacturing process.

Non-toxic Rubberwood

All PlanToys® are made with clean, natural rubberwood from rubber trees which no longer produce latex. To keep the rubberwood pure, fertilizer is NOT added to the soil for three years before the trees are cut.

To strengthen the wood, PlanToys uses a special chemical-free kiln drying process.

E-Zero Glue (Formaldehyde-Free!)

PlanToys® are assembled using a proprietary, non-formaldehyde E-Zero glue instead of the commonly-used toxic wood glues.  This is cool, and a big step above all regulations that really impresses us!

Most wooden toys are made of pressed wood that contain formaldehyde to hold thin strips of wood together.  These chemical glues outgass toxic fumes and in small amounts can cause nose and eye irritation (burning, itchy, tearing, and sore throat) in children as well as in adults. *

Long-term exposure and high concentrations of formaldehyde can lead to cancer (In animal studies, rats exposed to high levels of formaldehyde in air developed nose cancer. The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) has determined that formaldehyde may reasonably be anticipated to be a carcinogen.)*

Water Based Dye

PlanToys® does not use dyes containing lead or any other heavy metals.  They use only safe, non-toxic water-based dyes on all of their toys.

Recycle and Recyclable Package Material

PlanToys® uses recycled and recyclable material to minimize their impact on the environment.
Soy Ink & Water based Inks are used with Play Toys®.
