Baby Carriers Can Contain Toxic Fire Retardants, Dyes and Formaldehyde

…that’s why we wanted to review a totally natural, non-toxic AND beautiful baby wearing sling. New Native is a comfortable and easy-to-wear baby carrier, that is free of harmful additives!
You won’t find a label on baby carriers indicating they contain toxic fire retardants, formaldehyde or harmful dyes. These aren’t things any parent wants near their little one’s delicate baby’s skin! But, if you don’t know what you are needing to avoid, you may unknowingly be wrapping your angel in toxins.
New Native’s certified organic cotton baby pouch-carrier is not bulky as other carriers can be because this sling is free of buckles, rings, velcro, etc. So easy to use (no wrapping or thinking of how to strap in your baby) and another great plus, can be easily folded flat and stored in your diaper bag.
Starting at birth, any family member can bond with baby by carrying baby on your body – close to mommy’s or daddy’s heart.
Baby Wearing Benefits
I never was a big fan of strollers or carrying her around in the car seat (both options also filled with fire retardant chemicals) and felt like my baby was happier (me too!) whenever I carried her closer to me. I personally noticed my baby sleep better and seemed to be less colicky when I wore her.
I do have other carriers suited for older babies but like the simplicity of this beautiful, cozy and natural baby pouch-carrier. You can use the carrier for your newborn up to 35 lbs. If you use it for infants 0-4 months, New Native sells infant support pillow made from 100% Organic Cotton Twill, with 100% Organic Cotton stuffing. This uniquely designed pillow fits under your baby’s head and body to provide extra support.
I also like that it’s really easy to breastfeed your baby with this carrier, nursing blankets are great but I enjoy the freedom of having less weight in my arms while nursing with the sling too.

I loved my new native organic sling. Then when my baby got older and solidly upright, I switched to the organic Ergo. Still use it for hikes!
I had no idea some carriers had chemicals. Although, I am not surprised after learning that my nursing pillow was treated with flame retardant. I cried for 2 hours straight when I found out – just thinking about my precious newborn lying on it doing the most natural thing on earth – nursing.
