Eating Wholesome is Easy For Babies, Toddlers and Adults With This Cookbook

I can’t say that I have ever REALLY enjoyed reading a cookbook like this one!  Eating For the Whole Family by Cynthia Lair is positively inspiring!

Feeding the Whole Family is the bible of healthful eating! Encouraging breastfeeding, recommending starter solid foods, and then on expanding the diet of an older baby.  Even answering the questions most parents have “What should I give my child to drink?” and giving solutions to “My Child Won’t Eat Vegetables.”

Not only is the book full of whole food recipes that are simple and delightfully tasty (for the ENTIRE family), but Cynthia Lair naturally  plants a hungry desire in her readers to recognize their bodies natural wisdom and appreciate the “miraculous nutrients” of whole foods.

This book includes a wonderful selection of recipes for breakfast, lunch and dinner, desserts, dressings, condiments and soups. Vegan, veggie and meat meals too.

I love that there are not too many ingredients in any recipe and that each recipe includes how to feed babies 6 months and up from the same meal plan!

Cynthia Lair opens the book so tastefully it seemed like desert first.  Sharing her intention of encouraging families to share meals consisting of whole foods.  She also recommends that babies and children eat the same foods as their parents are eating. She educates on ’sharing a nourishing meal’ and ‘presenting food so it appeals to young children’ in a way that really settles in.

Serving 6 Month to Adult in One Recipe

Let me give you an example on how wonderfully this book accommodates the whole family:

Her Dr. Bruce’s Awesome Grilled Salmon recipe served with Lemon Basil Potato Salad, additionally has specifics on how you can feed your 6 month and older, and a graduated meal for baby 10 months and older from the same recipes.

Some of her whole food recipes include:

  • Maple Butter Nut Granola
  • Fresh Veggie Spring Rolls
  • Orange-Glazed Salmon Kebobs with Yogurt Garlic Dip
  • Squash-and-Raisin-Stuffed Chicken Breasts
  • Sweet Apple Walnut Kale
  • Chocolate-Dipped Coconut Macaroons

And I just have to say again that I really appreciate these great meals having an ingredient list I can handle.  Although the meals may sound difficult to prepare, they are quite simple!
