USA Today tracked the path of industrial pollution and mapped the locations of almost 128,000 schools to determine the levels of toxic chemicals outside. Titled: The Smokestack Effect – Toxic Air and America’s Schools, this information regarding air pollution is shocking and a must read!
This site is so easy to use, and the information here is important for all parents to know about for the long-term health of our children.
Another cool thing about this site is that it also informs you who the polluters are, and what toxins are released! So, with all this info. at hand, maybe we will start to round up some activist parents hoping to make a difference in the quality of air our children are breathing!
Also love that they don’t leave parents hanging. Check out their safe alternative measures, from the same link below, regarding:
- What if my school ranks high?
- Should I be alarmed?
- What do I do next?
- Can I test the air myself?
What is the quality of your air? Find out now! And if you take the initiative to make a difference, please let us know how you are doing it. Spread the encouragement, conscious parents!
