Non-toxic Sand Toys by Green Toys are Eco-Friendly and Fun
Our very popular and informative post titled “How Dangerous Is PVC in Toys? We’ve Got The Answers From THE Expert” clearly lays out the dangers of PVC in our children’s toys.
One of the types of toys out there that is not easy to find as PVC-free has been sand toys. And since Spring has sprung and Summer time is right around the corner, beach days and countless hours of fun are waiting to be had playing in the sand!
I was immediately impressed by the quality of Green Toys™ Sand Play Set made from 100% recycled milk jugs. They are sturdy, with a plastic much thicker than my girl’s other sand toys. These toys are truly made to last!
Green Toys Sand Play set comes with a bucket, a sand castle mold, a shovel and a rake. All of which are PBA-Free, phthalates free, and free of lead paints too!
Furthermore we absolutely love that the packaging Green Toys™ use are all made from recycled materials. No PVC-packaging here! Go Green Toys™!
Green Toys boast that on average, every pound of recycled milk jugs used in the making of their products saves enough electricity to power a TV set for 3 weeks! We think that is pretty cool. But even better, with the help of their non-toxic and environmentally conscious sand toys, there will naturally be much less TV to be had around here!
PVC is NOT recyclable and is considered an environmental, hazardous waste. And the sad thing is that most sand toys easily crack and don’t have much of a life line. If you are wondering if you old sand toys are made with PVC we offer this bit of advice. If it does NOT say “PVC-Free” on the packaging or the product, don’t trust it.
Green Toys™ are made from recyclable materials, do not contain PVC, and are much thicker and stronger than your typical sand toy, so it will have a much longer life. All of these qualities enables us to happily give our seal of approval to!
Fun in the sun, here we come!
Green Toys™ Sand Toys are made in the USA and are available here for $15.99.

Yeay! I’ve been wondering about this same thing being a safety-first mama worried about toxic plastic toys and as someone gave us a set of sand toys recently. Our baby is still too young to play in the sand but good to know there are greener options for her when she’s ready to build that sand castle
