I wanted to THANK "Safbaby2" for this article. I am a HUGE believer in suppliments to strengthen and support the immune system. I've been ordering suppliments for the past 3 years and have been doing research on my own, but never fully understood the Childlife products. YOU HAVE MADE ME SMILE from ear to ear. I've used the Vitamin C which I think is the BEST product on the market. Now after this article I just auto shipped everything within the Childlife product line. I've printed this and will follow like the bible. I have 3 children 7, 4 and 8 months and over the past 3 years have seen a HUGE difference in their overall health!!! Thanks so much for having the founder of Childlife speak and explain all of the products individually, it made a huge difference and helped a lot. It can be very confusing in the begining to know when to give, how much to give and I think this is great!!

Sorry for going on and on, but I justed wanted you to know you are appreciated and thank you!!!

We have not consistently used any products in this line for a full 6 months. Please do note that not all products are meant to be used for a duration of time, such as immune defense.

We highly recommend this line of vitamins to be used as directed on bottle or your health care professional.

if you have a more specific question, please let us know. hope this helps. I do give my child these vitamins when I personally feel the need, and always have the Echinacea tincture on hand.

Currently she has been getting this tincture with the Vitamin C to help boost her immune system while she is healing an infection on her finger, the results are wonderful! Very happy.

First Defense is a great start to strengthen the immune system.

The Multi-Vitamin & Mineral Pure DHA are also great supplements in case your kids are not eating well.

Hope this helps.

These childlife products sound great, but I feel overwhelmed. Do I need all the products? I mainly want my kids to have stronger immune systems, we are constantly sick. Where do I start?

In regards to Matt's comment above.....
Yes, you are absolutely correct, and we mention this in this post as well...
"a balanced and proper diet is always first priority".

We only list all of this line to give our readers options so they have the best information to decide what supplements may work for their children individually at different times.

Thanks

After I read this article I ordered Childlife's First Defense and started giving it to my 2 year old daughter. My husband and I both got a terrible cold last week and I really thought she would catch it too (we always catch each others colds!). I gave her a teaspoon of First Defense 3 times a day and she never got a cold. I really believe this stuff works and will continue giving it to her to boost her immune system! Thanks Safbaby for telling me about this great supplement!

Before you load your kid up on vitamins, you should really read some of the latest research on the subject of whether vitamins actually have any benefit and whether they are harmful.

Here is one recent (non-scholarly) article from the UK:

http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/health-and-wellbeing/features/are-vitamin-supplements-actually-bad-for-us-1033487.html

Here's another one, Vitamins C&E don't cut heart attack risk:

http://www.reuters.com/article/healthNews/idUSTRE4A82GD20081110

Your best bet as a parent is to give your kids a balanced diet and eat one yourself to set a good example. That will provide a lifetime of benefits.

<strong>Response from Dr. Murray Clarke, Founder of Childlife® </strong>

Dear Sandra and Samantha at Safbaby.com,

Thanks for bringing to my attention the comment of one of your web-site’s readers in relation to the Q and A article on the Childlife products and formulas.

As the founder and formulator of the Childlife company and products I have been interviewed and responded to many questions and requests for information about these formulas and their application to children’s health. From this experience, the list of questions that you presented to me showed the highest level of insight, understanding and knowledge in the field of children’s nutritional supplements.

So, I guess we should thank the reader for giving an opportunity to respond with more information and to clarify the integrity that you have instilled into the Safbaby web-site.

To directly address the reader’s concerns, there is a wealth of research and studies available today, that illustrate how important and effective the anti-oxidant vitamins, minerals and selected botanical extracts are at neutralizing and eliminating environmental toxins and pollutants from the body and brain. These are the same anti-oxidant vitamins, minerals and botanicals that are found in the Childlife products.

The result of providing children with nutritional supplements that help to protect them from the burden of ongoing environmental pollutants is then displayed with improved brain, body and immune function.

I have included the following references to highlight these benefits and effects. They are listed under the following categories; Antioxidants and detoxification, Improved health and brain function, Improved immune function.

Thanks again for giving the opportunity to clarify this information and the quality of the information on your site is much appreciated by my twenty years of experience as a homeopathic pediatrician.
